These are so simple to make. They require minimal effort, but a LOT of time because they take a while to cook. Here’s my recipe:
12 chicken feet, nails trimmed with a scissors
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons light sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Serves: 2
1. Cook the chicken feet: In a medium skillet, place the chicken feet on the stove over medium heat and over with water.
Simmer until almost all of the water cooks out. Fill it again with water (no seasoning) and simmer again.
Repeat 3 more times or until the feet become tender and the meat starts to fall off the bones, 1½-2 hours.
When fully cooked, there should be only about ½-cup water in the pan with the feet. Season them with salt and pepper.
2. Finish: Add the soy, honey and vinegar and simmer the chicken feet until the sauce becomes like a syrupy glaze. Transfer to a serving dish.
