These are the seven beauty items I reach for, the ones that have earned their place on my shelf. Nothing on it is aspirational, but they work, and thats all that really matters.

  1. Augustinus Bader, The Cleansing Balm

Built around TFC8, the brand’s proprietary complex, alongside cleansing oils that melt into skin before water ever touches it. Removes make-up, SPF, and the day itself in one motion, then emulsifies to a milk on contact with water. No stripping. No tightness afterward.

  1. Matiere Premiere, Neroli Oranger

A composition built almost entirely around neroli. The essence distilled from bitter orange blossom, with petitgrain and a trace of orange to widen it. No vanilla, no heavy musk. French perfumery’s raw-materials school: choose the ingredient, then let it do the work unassisted.

  1. Monastery, Attar

A floral repair concentrate built on rose and jasmine absolutes suspended in a plant-oil base, squalane, camellia, tamanu. Formulated without synthetic fragrance or fillers. Repairs barrier function while it scents the skin, so the fragrance is a by-product of the formulation rather than the point of it.

  1. Skin Design London, Cherry Gloss Peel

A vitamin-based peel built on antioxidants and fruit acids, cherry extract chief among them, that resurfaces without the aggression of a clinical peel. Brightens, evens tone, leaves the gloss the name promises rather than the redness a stronger acid would.

  1. Act+Acre, Cold Processed Stem Cell Scalp Serum

Cold-processed to preserve the plant stem cells and actives that heat would otherwise degrade. Treats the scalp as its own ecosystem. Balancing and strengthening the follicle, addressing the skin before it addresses the hair growing out of it.

  1. iS Clinical, Pro-Heal Serum Advance

Built on the brand’s Extremozyme technology alongside vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and olive leaf extract. Formulated to accelerate healing and calm inflammation, as much post-procedure skincare as daily serum, which is exactly the register it was designed for.

  1. Linämel Toothpaste

Fluoride, formulated with anise, aloe, and mint rather than the usual mint-alone. Linämel is the Swedish house behind it, a pharmacy-grade in intent, herbal in execution. The one item on the shelf that asks nothing of anyone and delivers exactly what it says.
