This week, I had one of the hardest conversations I’ve ever had. Funny enough, it wasn’t related to the friendship breakup I just wrote about, but I now realized I chose to share that story as a test to see if I could handle sharing something bigger.
The experience I had this week was one of those my-soul-is-going-to-leave-my-body-and-explode-into-one-million-pieces type of confrontations. The kind where your body is screaming at you to run, smooth it over, keep the peace, tell yourself it wasn’t that bad, all while a deeper part of you is leading charge and doing it absolutely terrified, because it knows you can’t pretend anymore.
I’ve been experiencing really interesting symptoms since that conversation. So naturally, I turned on the microphone to divulge all the details.
In this audio, I’m talking about what it actually feels like to stop performing and start living according to your own truth. The strange comedown after finally saying the thing you’ve been terrified to say. The relationship between motherhood, boundaries, sobriety, my voice, and the childhood parts of me I’m still learning to attune to.
I also share an experience I had during an energy healing session this week that completely changed the way I see my own pain.
If you’ve ever had to choose between keeping the peace and telling the truth— or wondered what happens after you finally choose yourself— come sit with me.
