When you are loved the right way

Hello dear soul,

I didn’t share much about relationships lately, because life was too busy teaching me about it.

My excitement in the very near future is to build a family, so I’ve been focused on expanding my vessel to be able to hold this reality.

I learned so much about it, through many connections that serve as teachers, but also by actually experiencing love in the right way that nourishes me.

In the way I always knew is possible. More on this later ;)

Here’s what I learned so far and what I am excited to share with you!

When you are loved the right way…

You just know it. There is no second guessing.

You are assured through actions and behaviour.

And if their love is unavailable for whatever reason, you are assured of that too.

Beyond trauma responses and trauma bonding.

There are no power games that threaten the connection.

There is no negotiation over whether certain aspects of yourself are worth loving, because even your demons are allowed to dance.

Sure, there would be challenges and conflict, but it lands differently. It brings you closer into union, not further away into separation.

You don’t have to strategise your communication to be understood or seen.

You don’t question the love, and you don’t ask for signs anymore to confirm that they are the one.

You don’t get caught up in “I’m right, you’re wrong” dynamics.

However, you still need to allow this love to exist every single day.

To let your nervous system be rewired by it.

Because past hurts have trained us to stay alert.

We believed we had to build fortresses to avoid being hurt again.

Our nervous systems need time to believe that peace and safety are not just possible, but the standard.

Friends and family warn you with phrases like “Wait until…” because of their own love deceptions.

But deep down, despite all of this, you know. You know it not because you somehow trained yourself to believe in it, but because you have been doing the work required to experience wholeness…

And once that is certain, you attract someone who has done the work as well.

And when she/he arrives, you simply recognise the energy. It is so clear that you can’t deny it. Every doubt dissolves. Certainty prevails.
