The foundation of a sustainable relationship is NOT how much you love each other or if your values align.
Or how loyal and devoted you are, or how good you are with money or household responsibilities.
Sure, these are very important aspects and cannot be bypassed, but…
The foundation, the main key to a healthy relationship that opens all doors, is how you handle CONFLICT.
If your nervous system wants to escape at any disagreement, argument, or intensity, I hate to break it to you, but your relationship is doomed to fail.
The mastery is in how we respond or react to triggers, tension, disagreements, friction, and to those parts of ourselves that are still seeking to be seen and integrated.
Because believe me, those aspects of ourselves are exposed if the relationship is real! If it’s based on genuine love and connection.
Eventually, we become more masterful, but it cannot happen if we can’t handle conflict well.
And there is no one-size-fits-all here. It depends on so many variables, like culture, wounding dynamics, maturity, life experience, and so on.
Starting from the premise that you are both aware of your wholeness, the goal in situations of conflict is to be as non-reactive as possible. As observant as possible.
Only from that place can understanding and resolution arise each time.
This is what ultimately determines if your relationship has a sustainable future or not.
Do you agree with this? What is your experience?
If you are here to make your relationship thrive or to call in your soul partner, I am excited to support you.
