Is the man or the boy leading?

I carry deep compassion for the inner boy inside every man, especially within myself.

Yet there comes a threshold where he can no longer sit at the leadership table.

For the man to take his throne, the boy must undergo a sacred death.

It is a symbolic surrender, a burning away of childish demands so that mature masculine leadership can be forged in the fire. This is one of the hardest initiations a man undergoes.

The inner boy plays a vital role in our journey, but he is only truly integrated when he steps down from the throne and rests in the care of the man who knows himself.

When the immature boy leads, life becomes an endless game of seeking validation. The world becomes something to take from.

When the man leads, life transforms into a sacred service. Power is no longer used to demand and control, but to protect, build, and elevate the family and the world. Power is used to GIVE.

If we look at the world leaders right now and where they are at on this journey, we understand what we are dealing with here.

As men, once our actions are no longer dictated by the unhealed boy, we become ready for the immense weight and beauty that life holds.
