Branches roped around a throat like choking vines on a tree.
Communication hasn’t been key and I’m weakened from a debilitating disease that spreads like bad rumors.
Frayed + fragile, I’m gradually unwinding,
handle with precaution, I’ve been like an ungrounded wire.
Active in this occupied space, stretching, reaching far + wide, but I encounter shoddy signals, unreceptive to essential needs.
Protesting found faults and addressing multiple misfires,
I’m no longer in control.
The second poem in the five parts ‘heavy body…’ series.
This is a poem that illustrates the dilemma + importance of proper communication. How you speak to yourself + to others matters. Misunderstanding + avoidance hurts us every time we fail to get clarity.
Thanks for reading my shit. I love you.
peace.
