WRITING LIFE
On the writing front, my kids went back to school, and I feel like I’m finally starting to make some progress on SCOT AND BOTHERED. I have to say, I wrote KILT TRIP so long ago and edited for so long that starting a new book from scratch has felt…mostly daunting the entire time.
I’m falling in love with these characters and I’m loving writing about the Isle of Skye but letting myself write a messy (and sometimes chaotic) first draft goes against all my Virgo tendencies. I have to keep reminding myself I am so close to busting out the multi colored highlighters and putting everything into a spreadsheet to stay calm. :)
But I wanted to share a little aesthetic because while I’m trying to stay focused on KT on socials, I’m spending all my time with Jack and Brooke behind the scenes and I need to scream about them sometimes! This is a dual-timeline, second-chance romance, set on the Skye Trail. Lots of hiking and reminiscing and oops, only one tent!
Happy almost fall. I hope it’s starting to cool down where you are. I am SO ready for sweaters and cozy tea mornings.
