I know you’ve heard from me a lot this past week, but now that I’m on substack, I wanted to hit the ground running with a few posts back-to-back to connect with you!

Starting next week, I promise to slow down a bit and only hit your inbox once a week. I know that it can get annoying when a newsletter is in your inbox too much.

I wanted to share some exciting news that I’m sharing here first (because subscribers are my favourite and deserve the best).

This book has been in the making for quite some time. The original launch date was scheduled for earlier this month; however, you know what they say about the best-laid plans.

A month before the planned publishing date I decided it was incredibly important for the story to be printed in dyslexic—friendly font. A month before a book launch is far too late to change much, but this change had to happen. So, the book was delayed a bit (but the end result is worth it).

I’m so excited to share Sparkle, an inclusive picture book that celebrates a child with dyslexia and dysgraphia.

Jasmine loves stories and wants to create her own. Unfortunately, when it comes time to read and write, she struggles. When her teacher asks the class to write a creative story, Jasmine decides to tell her story in her own way and creates a wordless story. A perfect book to introduce kids to the many ways we tell stories, Sparkle celebrates a neurodiverse child who thinks outside the box!

This inspiring inclusive book teaches children:

  • There are many different ways to tell a story

  • It’s beautiful to think outside the box

  • We all communicate in our own way

  • Wordless stories are powerful

  • Neurodiversity is a superpower

  • All brains are different and that’s special

It would also be a great book for any teacher who is teaching a unit on wordless stories to their class.

Thank you to absolutely anyone who grabs a copy, shares the book with your community or gives the book some love in any way.

The eBook will be FREE next week from Wednesday - Friday (Feb. 5-7) for anyone who wants to check out the book for free and (fingers crossed) leave a review :)

Thank you to anyone who supports in any way! It means more than I can explain.

you're awesome
