Sup?
Been a minute, I know.
Haven’t been on Substack or Medium a lot lately, as I’ve been deep at work on the project in the thumbnail as well as a THIRD memoir of mine. It takes place at a popular establishment I used to work. But more on these projects later.
When Obstacles Limit Freedom is starting to gain steam and starting to gain reviews. That’s a plus. I’m glad that a lot of people can relate to some of my stories, as terrifying and shitty as they were.
And stay tuned, as I’m in the process of getting a new hardcover book with the new book cover design. Just waiting on the proof. But I’m pretty pleased with it and would love to hear everyone’s thoughts when I get it.
Although, some of them may not see this, I want to thank the counselors, authors, and therapists who’ve read this and gave me their honest reviews on the book. You will see their endorsements/blurbs on the cover as well as on the inside of the book.
I still haven’t had a chance to start on Part II, clearly, but it will come eventually. I’m having fun on the current projects, anyway.
Wolves of Hemp Street. Yes, my debut memoir under the Pen Name, Floyd Wooderson. Think Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused and Brad Pitt in True Romance.
Not too much to report here, although I am also working on a Special Edition cover. Maybe will have a small number for the 2-year anniversary of its release (4/20/25).
Also, I still have some original proof copies with errors in them (*rare) that I can part ways with. Anybody interested in those? They will be signed, of course.
Other than that, stay tuned on ‘Wolves’!
When The Footsteps Stop. My current project with my uncle. They’re all his stories, but I’m helping put it all together in book form. A paranormal memoir, of sorts.
Although we’re still working on the first draft, it’s moving smoothly. Initial thoughts are that it will come out at the end of summer. It’s well worth the wait, because it’s gooooddddd. Don’t expect to hear footsteps the same ever again ; )
Can’t talk about it just yet, but my final project — the one closest to being released — is going through an approval process of sorts. I need to see what the outcome is there before I release more info on it. But it’s basically ready to go. My goal would be to launch it on Paddy’s Day this year. We will see : )
Thank you for everyone who’s been joining me on this writing journey. It’s a new one, but is actually quite fun. It’s giving me the opportunity to use my creative brain and things that I’ve conjured up over the years.
If you haven’t already, hit subscribe for free notifications on my upcoming projects. I promise not to spam you.
And if you’re in the path of this gnarly snow storm like I am, stay warm!
Cheers,
