Double taxation treaties: Albania has agreements with multiple countries, helping expats and remote workers avoid being taxed twice on the same income.
Personal income tax: 13% on annual income up to ALL 2,040,000, and 23% above that, lower than in most EU countries.
Investment income: Dividends are taxed at 8%, while other investment income is taxed at 15%.

A staggering 8451 complaints were lodged against judges and prosecutors in Albania, leading to a public outcry for an intervention by the High Judicial Inspectors. The figures, alarming by any standard, indicate a growing distrust in the judiciary system of the country. Most complaints concern misuse of power, bias in judgments, and lack of fairness in the judicial process.
The High Judicial Inspectorate, as an independent institution that oversees the conduct of judges and prosecutors, is being urged to step in and appropriately address this issue. The situation not only raises serious questions about the efficiency and integrity of Albania's legal system but also poses a potential concern for expats regarding the reliability and transparency of the country’s judiciary.

The 8th exhibition of the “MURI” Group has opened at the Vlora Art Gallery, showcasing paintings, sculptures, caricatures, and ceramics. This event brings together diverse visions, styles, and emotions, providing a unique artistic experience for the public. The exhibition will run until December 30, offering art lovers a chance to appreciate the creative work on display.

Around 4,000 gifts have been distributed to children in the municipality of Maliq ahead of the year-end holiday season. This initiative was carried out by Evangelical believers from southeastern Albania and volunteers from Ireland, who collaborated to bring smiles and joy to children in various areas of Maliq.
The packages, prepared in Ireland, were spread across Gora, Lozhan, Pirg, Orman, Drithas, Rrëmbec, as well as social centers for children with special needs. This effort by Team Hope, BUSH, and Duart që Sigurojnë aimed to bring happiness to children, particularly those in remote mountainous villages.
