The second edition of “Tirana Art Weekend 2025” has brought together 80 artists from Albania, Kosovo, and around the world to showcase the contemporary art scene in Albania. The Tax Administration in Albania has released a list of reference wages for various professions within the construction sector, setting a minimum salary of 80,000 lek per month. This measure aims to ensure that companies are accurately declaring salaries to avoid potential inspections and penalties. The initiative targets businesses in the industry suspected of underreporting earnings, especially those paying part of the salaries in cash. The reference wages range from 80,000 lek for support workers to 160,000 lek for crane operators. Effective December 2025, the Tax Administration will focus inspections on companies declaring wages lower than the established minimums and those manipulating job titles to reduce salary levels.
