Not because suffering is virtuous.
Not because pain should be worshipped.
But because suffering is not created by feeling.
It’s created by resisting what you feel/experience.
When you allow yourself to feel, and I mean truly feel, without identifying with the story, without feeding the narrative, without trying to make the sensation mean something…
…you are already free.
You’re already deeper than mindset work of “I am not the story.”
Because you’re not bypassing the body, you’re meeting it.
This is the difference between feeling and becoming possessed by feeling.
The moment you meet sensation without judgment, without needing it to change, the story begins to die.
And death is the prelude to resurrection/birth.
I saw this recently in a session with a client.
She reached a point where it felt like a rope around her neck.
The intensity was real.
Overwhelming.
She tried to breathe through it, and it intensified.
Because that is what happens when you meet the moment.
Everything within that experience moves to the forefront of your awareness.
So she backed off.
And that was perfectly okay.
Sometimes we circle the edge of discomfort many times before we’re ready to meet it fully.
But meet it you must.
When you meet the suffering in the body, you transcend the story held inside it.
This was the teaching of Jesus.
The crucifixion was not about punishment.
It was not about sin.
It was the revelation that suffering is grace.
Incredible suffering.
Torture.
Humiliation.
Abuse.
And his full surrender to it was the death of the story, and thus the resurrection of consciousness.
Not once.
But endlessly.
Death and rebirth.
Death and rebirth.
Death and rebirth.
That is creation.
True death is surrender.
In physical death, you don’t get to choose.
The body lets go.
Some people, in that moment, cling to shame, regret, guilt
and they are forced to release.
Others surrender fully in the moments before physical death and experience joy and bliss.
Because that surrender is acceptance.
And acceptance is transcendence.
But you don’t have to wait until you physically die.
You can choose surrender now.
Every time you meet your shadow, every time you face discomfort instead of fleeing it, you are offered a death and a resurrection.
But only if you meet it fully.
The feeling.
The sensation.
The story it wants to tell.
This is why the stories lose their power.
Jesus was called a blasphemer, the complete opposite of what he stood for.
His truth threatened them so deeply, they tried to destroy him.
And he met that story with an open heart.
He did not argue with it.
He did not defend against it.
Because he was devoted to divinity, not ego.
This is where divinity meets the ego, when you are no longer afraid of the story.
When you can say,
“Forgive it.
It knows not what it does.”
To the story.
To the ego.
To the suffering itself.
This is when pain becomes ecstasy.
This is when suffering becomes salvation.
Liberation.
I don’t teach you how to get rid of pain.
I teach you how to meet it until it no longer needs to speak.
I make what you hide, Holy.
