This week, I chose to attend only a few events, mainly those that interest me. As a press photographer, it's not ideal to cover events I dislike, since it would affect my photography quality. My main interests are art, including performing arts and fashion. PR agencies already have my contact details and send me invitations, while I also apply directly to some events. These are often gallery openings with dedicated marketing teams that handle communications with photographers and media. Being on their press lists is always beneficial.
This theatre event took place late in the evening, at 5.30 pm, at the Peacock Theatre near the Strand. It was a late rehearsal, so it will be harder to get into the papers due to the print run deadlines. It might appear the following day.
Fish Bowl is now playing at the Peacock Theatre as part of MimeLondon. This lively, silent show features three neighbours in tight Parisian attic apartments whose daily mishaps escalate into dazzling chaos, with each disaster sparking another. Performers include Pierre Guillois, Agathe L’Huillier, and Olivier Martin-Salvan. Here are some photos I captured.

Right after the rehearsal at the Peacock Theatre, I hurried via the Bakerloo line from Embankment station to Baker Street, but I arrived on time. Unfortunately, the main celebrity didn't show up in the end. Only another photographer and I turned up, and there were just a few people to photograph, as shown below.
The red carpet is rolled out for the Cable Street performance at the Marylebone Theatre. The play runs until 28th February 2026.

I go to this event every year. It's great for talks on various aspects of travel, and there are book signings by your favourite authors, and they usually give a talk about their book. Plus, the many stands showcasing various destinations around the world and in the UK. Plus, there is the photography competition with Wanderlust and food tastings from all around the globe.
This year I concentrated on the food & wine tastings, with my highlight being the Tobago Blue crab and Dumpling, which is from my parents' home island in the Caribbean (Trinidad & Tobago). It was very nice; they used crab from Cornwall instead of shipping one from Trinidad, as the dish would normally have blue crab from the region. Nadine Rankin from Tobago Beyond was the expert on the Island.
There was a wine tasting with a couple of wines from South Africa and Rioja, with Helen McEvoy and Abi Mitton, who are wine travel experts. A seabass dish from Colombia. Cooked by Moris Moreno from ProColombia.
