This week was fairly calm, featuring only one shoot—a preshoot for the Halloween session on the 26th. It involved Julia and Luda, with Julia being a new model. Typically, I like to meet models beforehand if we are doing paid shoots with other photographers to ensure they know what to expect and feel at ease receiving directions. I also check if the outfit fits.
I've been organising paid shoots for seven years, and none of them have had any issues. The main concern is the weather, as about 80% of these outdoor shoots depend on good conditions. You can find out about any shoots I organise here.
We conducted the shoot at Regent’s Park, where the autumn foliage was stunning. It was ideal timing, with the vibrant colours and warm, dry weather. We gathered there and started with the Halloween-themed part of the shoot. I had brought the costumes, which fit perfectly, as shown in the photos. Afterwards, we did another shoot in casual clothes. Since Luda and I had worked together on many shoots before, I was familiar with what to expect from her.

That’s it for this week, a bit shorter than usual. Look out for the next ones in a few days. The Substack membership is now open and includes a calendar of 2026 events; more guides will be added each month. These resources, coming soon, include a standard model release form for you to copy, a guide to my process for exporting and editing photos for News Agencies, and more. You can see a list of upcoming articles here.
