Information is everywhere and somehow none of it means anything after few moments of consuming it.
i miss when people on the internet spoke because they had something real to say.
there was a time (not long ago) when whatever reached you as ‘information’ actually meant something.
People shared because they had lived through something and wanted to pass it on out of goodwill. felt genuine.
Now i don’t know, everything almost feels performative. People talk like they are trying to sound smart instead of saying anything real. 95% of my feed feels repurposed and repolished into the same generic life advice that lands with zero weight.
Every post feels like it has some hidden objective behind it and because of that, nothing feels natural anymore.
I keep wondering like what we are even optimizing for??
why does life need a structure?? A performative structure?? why is there this massive assumption that there’s only one certain ‘way’ to live? can’t people just exist, reflect and optimize for what is best for them??
or
have we totally outsourced that effort of trying to figure out what’s best for us, because we’d much rather have someone impose it on us, as we’ve grown up listening to our ‘seniors’???
i’m honestly tired of the slop. tired of the feel good lines with no substance and advice that sounds nice but doesn’t hit at all. there used to be a time when a single thought actually used to make me stop and think.
now it all feels like noise.
maybe life only gets better when you figure out what you actually want without trying to follow every template that gets thrown at you.
and maybe you need your own realization, your own goals, your own way of moving without having everything to be performed in some sense.
I am amazed when ppl don’t realize how easy it is to see through things that don’t have any substance.
I just hate how overloaded everything feels.
Nothing seems interesting anymore because everything is optimized to sound good instead of being good.
when do we get back to substance? when do we stop chasing the tone of things and start saying something that actually reaches someone???
that is all..
see you in the next edition.
