iPad Sidebar Cannot Be Fully Hidden

Why the iPad sidebar minimizes but won't fully hide.

Problem

After updating Airmail on iPad, the left sidebar cannot be fully hidden. Tapping the hamburger menu only toggles between expanded (with labels) and minimized (icons only).

Solution

In the current version of Airmail for iPad, the sidebar can only be minimized to icons — it cannot be completely hidden as in previous versions. This is a design change in the latest update. The development team has been informed of user feedback requesting the option to fully hide the sidebar.
