DeepMind has unveiled AlphaGenome, a new AI model designed to decode the vast, non-coding regions of our DNA — the so-called "dark matter" that influences gene activity and disease but doesn’t code for proteins. Unlike previous tools focused on specific tasks, AlphaGenome is an all-in-one model that can analyze up to one million DNA letters and predict thousands of biological properties.
