Claude Developers announced an easily underestimated update: Different Claude Code sessions can now send messages to each other.
You no longer need to open another terminal and re-explain the entire background. You can simply tell the current Claude: “Notify the weekly-digest session about this field rename.” The system will send a summary, and the other session receives it mid-task and continues processing.
This is not “sharing the full context.” The official documentation deliberately clarifies: what gets passed is a summary—not your conversation history, and not files. This boundary determines whether it becomes a productivity tool or a new amplifier of chaos.
