I can’t believe it’s already December! Crazy! I’ve been busy working and trying to get used to the dark winter days again. Right now we have seven hours daylight here in Denmark, which sounds okay enough, but the “light” is mostly just gray clouds covering the sky, so you don’t really get to see the sun so much. But that only means it’s time to try to slow down and cozy up with candles, books and good music.
I was lucky enough to be invited to draw on the Tegnevæggen in Copenhagen book fair this year. They invite about 40 comics artist to draw live on stage, we got one page each from a prewritten script. This year the story was written by Sophie Souid.
I also found one of my books at the book fair! I haven’t been published that much in Denmark, so I was very happy to see at least one of my books in Danish, displayed very nicely at the children’s section.
I had such a great time at the book fair. Met some old and new friends, saw Junji Ito (!) talk about comics and bought some Danish books from the small publishers -section. 10 out of 10 overall.
Here’s some of the children’s books I’m illustrating right now, that are coming out next year! All of them are only in Finnish, hopefully they’ll get translated later.
I’ve been updating my webcomic about libraries and books:
It’s December and that means it’s Muppets Christmas Carol time! I love this movie so, so much. It’s not Christmas without it.
That’s it for this month, and this year I guess! See you on January 2026!
