Introducing Microsoft Scout: Your always-on personal agent | Microsoft 365 Blog
Microsoft is introducing a new category of agents called Autopilots. Autopilots are always-on agents that work autonomously, with their own identity, and act on your behalf. The first Autopilot agent is Microsoft Scout.
Microsoft Scout is integrated across the Microsoft 365 apps you use every day, keeping it grounded in your flow of work. It operates across cloud, desktop, and web, connecting to Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint, and to the data that powers your day, including chats, email, calendar, and contacts. You interact with it in Teams, and extend its reach through the desktop app to your browser, local resources, and model context protocol servers. It is powered by OpenClaw open-source technology
Over time, Microsoft Scout builds context powered by Work IQ, learning how you work.
Microsoft IQ | Unified Enterprise Intelligence for AI
Microsoft IQ brings together four integrated layers that power enterprise intelligence across Microsoft.
Work IQ
Delivers workplace intelligence—data, context, and tools—designed for the unique needs of agents.
Fabric IQ
Provides a shared semantic foundation of your business—aligning data, entities, and rules so agents reason consistently and drive accurate, context-aware decisions.
Foundry IQ
Transforms fragmented data into governed, reusable knowledge—connecting agents to the right data, systems, and context to act effectively.
Web IQ
Delivers fresh, real-world intelligence from across the web – including web pages, news, images, and videos.
Building a hill-climbing machine: Launching seven new MAI models | Microsoft AI
Microsoft just launched seven AI models built in-house at Microsoft AI.
The AI compute used to train frontier models has grown by a factor of one trillion, and Microsoft expects another thousand-fold increase in the next three years. To stay ahead of that curve, the Microsoft AI team has just released seven new MAI models spanning reasoning, coding, image generation, transcription, and voice.
Frontier Tuning — a reinforcement-learning approach that lets organizations train MAI models on their own workflows and data, within the environments controlled by them. Frontier Tuning: Teaching AI to work the way you do - Microsoft 365 Developer Blog
Composing a new platform for agent-first devices - Command Line
Microsoft announced Project Solara, a new software platform coupled with tailored hardware solutions, is to pioneer agent-first experiences that are shaped around you: your agents, your tasks, your environment, under your control.
It introduces Agent-driven interaction model with just-in-time UI
Two concept devices a portable Badge concept device for information workers and frontline workers and a stationary Desk concept device that can work stand-alone, serve as a companion to your Windows PC, or even become your cloud PC through Windows 365 when connected to an external display and interact with Microsoft 365 Copilot.
What’s New in Microsoft 365 Copilot | May 2026 | Microsoft Community Hub
Two new AI models Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.8 for Microsoft 365 Copilot for multi-step tasks and long-running workflows and OpenAI’s GPT-5.5 Instant is now available in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Copilot Studio. Refreshed design in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app delivers a more streamlined, chat-centered experience.

The Work IQ API is an enterprise intelligence layer for Microsoft 365 that enables developers to build AI agents capable of securely reasoning over organizational data, workflows, and collaboration patterns. It handles data extraction, permission-enforcement, and contextual grounding automatica
Introducing a new design for Microsoft 365 Copilot | Microsoft 365 Blog
Microsoft redesigned the Copilot app and how Copilot shows up across Microsoft 365 apps to better move with it: cleaner, faster, and in the flow of work.
What’s new in Microsoft Foundry | Build Edition | Microsoft Foundry Blog
Agent development got faster: Microsoft Agent Framework adds stable orchestration building blocks, and Foundry Toolkit for VS Code is now generally available.
Production agent hosting matured: hosted agents are expected to reach general availability by early July 2026, with sandboxed sessions, state, filesystem access, and framework flexibility.
Agents can connect to more tools and channels: Toolboxes in Foundry is in public preview, Voice Live adds real-time voice paths, and Foundry agents can publish to Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot, planned for general availability in June 2026.
Agent memory expanded: Memory in Foundry Agent Service, in public preview, now includes procedural, user, and session memory.
Foundry IQ became a broader knowledge plane: serverless retrieval, new knowledge sources, knowledge bases, Web IQ, security updates, and agentic retrieval improvements reduce custom retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) plumbing.
Model and compute options expanded: new MAI models, Fireworks AI on Foundry, Managed Compute, fine-tuning, and Frontier Tuning give developers more choices for inference, training, and customization.
Trust, evaluation, and observability moved closer to the development loop: ASSERT, Agent Control Specification (ACS), Guided Guardrail Setup, Rubric, tracing, Agent Optimizer, and Agent ROI help teams evaluate, govern, and improve agents.
GitHub Copilot app: The agent-native desktop experience - The GitHub Blog
The new GitHub Copilot app is the agent-native desktop experience built on GitHub. From a single My Work view, you can see work in motion across connected repositories: active sessions, issues, pull requests, and background automations. The Copilot app is now available in technical preview for existing Copilot Pro, Pro+, Business, and Enterprise users.
Made for developers and agents, Windows 365 at Build 2026
Every dev these days is using agents and every engineering manager wants their devs to use MORE agents. That makes it critical for organizations to have a way to create secure, scalable agent execution environments. This is where Windows 365 for Agents comes into play. Agent makers can use it as part of Agent 365 tools, now generally available, or through a preview available in Microsoft Copilot Studio. It enables enterprise automation by giving AI agents secured and managed Cloud PCs that operate inside the environments where business happens.
The Agent Build-Along Series gives partners a self-serve repo of ready-to-run sessions across M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI Foundry, curated by industry and business function.
