Suzie represents all brands of children’s and adult fiction. She loves women’s fiction, narrative non-fiction, memoir, and debut fiction. On the children’s side, she is interested in select YA and MG. Suzie loves strong characters and voice-driven stories that break out of the typical tropes of their genres, and she’s always looking for unique new voices in stories.

Senior Literary Agent Laura Crockett is interested in upmarket, character-driven adult and YA fiction with emotional depth, compelling stakes, and diversity. In both markets she is seeking fantasy — epic, historical, folklore/fairytale, horror, gothic, and dark academia — and contemporary realistic fiction perfect for book clubs. In the adult market only, she is also seeking historical fiction that brings a new perspective to the table.

Prior to joining the Nancy Yost Literary Agency, she served as research associate in entertainment, media, and sports at Harvard Business School and editorial associate at Harvard University Press, before earning a master’s degree at NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute where she received the Marlene Sanders Award and interning at The New Republic.
A native New Yorker, when not working she often can be found writing articles or volunteer ushering at off-Broadway shows.

She is drawn to commercial hooks, lyrical writing, and voice-y characters who jump off the page and pull you in. She love books that weave in folk stories and mythologies, particularly those underrepresented in literature. Similarly, she is interested in non-Western settings.
In fantasy, Tali adores a unique magic system. She is also a big fan of books about books.
Across all genres and age groups, Tali would love to see projects from BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, neurodiverse, and chronically ill communities.

Megan is looking for writers in a variety of areas, and from a wide range of backgrounds – she is particularly keen to hear from Black, Asian, and LGBTQIA+ writers across all genres. At the moment, she is prioritising authors writing MG, YA and new adult/adult commercial fiction. She is also open to hearing from self-published authors that want to discuss subsidiary rights representation and moving into trade publishing.
In Fiction, Megan is keen to find more authors in the romance space – particularly romcoms, dark romance, sweeping epic love stories, high concept romance, and ‘romantasy’ novels – for adult and ‘new adult’ readers. She’d especially love to see those familiar romance tropes – enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, love triangles, forbidden love etc. – with underrepresented characters and cultures at the centre (think Sara Desai’s The Marriage Game or Jesse Sutanto’s Aunties series).
In fantasy and ‘romantasy’, she is looking for rich and layered world building with unique magic systems and – for romantasy, a swoon-worthy romance at its core. She’d be keen to novels exploring different cultures in this space too, and retellings that are exploring largely untold mythology and folk tales.
In YA, she is keen to see contemporary stories with humour and romance at the heart – fun and emotional novels that appeal to the interests and issues of teenage readers – and anything with a really strong pitch or concept. She’d also love to see thrillers and horror stories for this age group too, as well as epic fantasy as long as there’s a thread of romance throughout.
On the younger end, Megan is looking for funny, contemporary middle grade – think Louise Rennison and Karen McCombie but for a modern reader. She’d love to find something as off kilter and unique as Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (that will always be true) and is keen to find original adventure stories in both fantastical and realistic settings.
Please note, Megan is currently closed to picture book submissions. She is also not the right agent for crime, thriller and science-fiction novels.
