The fact that Aliko Dangote plans to build a second refinery in Kenya — likely near the northern port city of Lamu — is already paying off for the Nigerian entrepreneur. The proposed 700,000-barrel-per-day facility is evidently attracting interest from institutional investors in Kenya, even before a single concrete step regarding the refinery’s construction has been done.
