What a day sun shining, blue skies patches of cloud drifting across time have they, we been forgotten does our creator not see that cloud over there a frozen koi fish another floats like a sting ray perhaps a bee what must it be like a cloud up high above the mess this mortal torn empire Here we are trying to stay present but the present is a curse we take cover, praying for benevolence Switch off don't look maybe you'll wake up and find they let the power-less off the hook but each day is deadlier and cruel getting crueller too while countries sit fat and wait for new rules I don't know if the clouds can see see the life crushing claim a presumption of Majesty if clouds could talk would they whisper or shout what is going on down there? what's all this mass murder and destruction about? maybe they'd weep like us rage and sleep maybe they'd taste the acid from bearing witness to burning sheets tents make-shift homes weak refuge amongst what was once thriving olive groves If clouds could fight with which crowd would they side or would they see us all as the wholly threat all of us humans the only species that torches and wrecks would they call us all the lesser beings believing the world, their world needed to be made clean of us poor, rich, white and black women, man all worthy of equal attack a common enemy no alliance and border control to protect themselves from our venom they declare, get out, this is our home What a day sun shining, blue skies would clouds come down and bother to save human lives
