As every summer, I am pausing Sky High Standards and I will be back at the end of September.
I love working on my end of the year review and New Year resolutions, but the summer is always an important moment for me to reconnect with myself and check if my priorities have changed and to ensure that the months left of the year are fully meeting my goals.

From the Center…
Half a year has flown by, and more than ever, I need to ensure that I’m not living in inertia mode and, instead, I am taking inspired actions to achieve my goals and life with purpose.
Tool: The Mid-Year Recalibration Check
This month I propose to you a five-step exercise to review if you are on track with your goals and decide if you need to make any changes.
A five-step exercise to reconnect with your goals before the year’s second half takes off.
1. Audit: Where am I really?
List the 3-5 goals you set in January. For each one, rate your progress honestly: On Track, Drifting, or Abandoned.
2. Root Cause: Why?
For anything Drifting or Abandoned, ask yourself: was it a priority shift, a capacity issue, or simply inertia?
Not every miss is a failure! Some goals were just built for a version of you that has already moved on.
3. Realign: What still matters?
Ask: if I were setting this goal today, knowing what I know now, would I still choose it? Keep, revise, or release each goal accordingly.
4. Inspired Action: What’s the next right step?
For every goal you’re keeping, define ONE concrete action for the next 30 days. Not the whole plan, just the next move.
5. Anchor: Why does this matter?
Write one sentence connecting this goal to your deeper “why.” Keep it somewhere visible. It’s your reminder for when autopilot creeps back in.
Monthly Recommendation
Choosing my summer book is really important to me, and it really depends on what I need at the moment. Sometimes I might choose a light, fresh novel; other times, a book for autocoaching.
This year my choice is Todo se puede entrenar (”Everything Can Be Trained”) from Toni Nadal.
Rafael Nadal’s longtime coach shares how he built both the physical and mental capacities behind his nephew’s success; not through rigid methods, but by training character, perseverance and self-demand just like any other skill.
Discipline and purpose aren’t traits you either have or don’t: they’re trained, like any other skill.
It looks to me like a fitting read for this month’s mid-year recalibration.”
Regrettably, the book is currently only available in Spanish. But I will be happy to share my lessons learned once I finish it.
Wishing you a great summer!
