The demo for our new NES homebrew metroidvania, Steel Legion, is out on itch.io. Make sure to check it out!
The full release of Steel Legion will be in the next weeks for PC and a Kickstarter campaign will launch Q1 2024 for the cartridge release. Stay tuned for the announcement and join us on Discord to discuss it.
We attended the RetroGameCon in Syracuse, NY this weekend and it was awesome to meet other retro gamers and showcase Steel Legion.
Sit tight, for the demo of our new retro horror game, A Jesting Descent, will release just in time for Halloween.
We proudly released the demo of our first game, Steel Legion, a few weeks ago on itch.io and we are so happy with all the feedback we received so far. We now have more than 200 downloads for the demo on itch and this means so much to us!
We love hearing from our players and knowing that they enjoy playing our games as much as we have enjoyed making them. We have made some slight refinements to the demo after getting some comments and the new version is now up on itch. If you haven’t had the chance to try it out yet, wait no more!
We are really excited to announce that the full release of Steel Legion is only going to be in a few weeks on itch.io for the PC version! We have seen your love for the game and we want to get you the full version as soon as possible.

And if you’d like to play Steel Legion on your NES, you’ll be thrilled to know that a Kickstarter campaign will launch at the beginning of next year (2024) to release a cartridge version of the game. We’re pairing up with the awesome gang at Broke Studio that have already released many other homebrew games for your favorite retro consoles.

Frank, our pixel artist, level designer and developer of Steel Legion, was present at the RetroGameCon in Syracuse, NY (USA) last weekend and he had a blast! There’s nothing like a good horror game to get you in the right mood for Halloween! We especially love Faith: The Unholy Trinity to give us chills. The psychological horror that settles the right mood from the beginning, the minimal soundtrack, the multiple endings and the story that goes deeper and deeper into the themes at every turn is just plain perfect for this time of the year!
That game was a great inspiration for us concerning A Jesting Descent, so go check it out on Steam or itch.io!
If you want to try out something spooky that’s free for Halloween, we also suggest checking out this awesome GZDoom work by Batandy, Castlevania: Simon’s Destiny. It’s a (sort of) remake of the classic NES horror game Castlevania, but set in the Doom engine!
