  • We launched A Jesting Descent on itch and we’ll be doing the post-mortem in the next weeks.

  • We have some cool gameplay sessions of Steel Legion’s demo that have been shared on YouTube. We always love to see you share our work with other gamers!

As you may know, we released A Jesting Descent a few weeks ago on itch.io (you can play it right here).

In the next weeks, the team will get together to do the post-mortem of the game and discuss what we learned along the way. We had a lot of fun making it and we look forward to finding new strategies to be even more efficient as a team and getting better at our art!

We’re slowly but surely starting to prepare the release of Steel Legion due in Q1 2024. François on our team is working on recording some gameplay footage that will be posted in the next weeks.

In the meanwhile, you can look up these cool gameplays of the demo that have been shared to us. We always love to see you share our games with other fellow gamers!

If you played A Jesting Descent, then you’ve read the poem written by Nathan Woods. Go check out his Substack Silver Door for other beautifully written poems!

We wanted to set the mood of the game with something a bit more traditional. As if a troubadour would’ve sang the adventure of this courageous (or a bit foolish, perhaps?) Jester!

Once, to his court a King declared urgent need
For some sturdy soul to perform a deed
And carry forth a message, stark and grand,
Below a forgotten corner of his land.

Chancellors, pages, eunuchs, even knights
Laughed to scorn their Majesty’s divine rights;
But as they refused the will of the Crown
From out the margins rose a happy sound.

The Jester, jingling in his Cap n’ Bells,
Declared, “For you I’d cross the seven hells,
And if this stinking band of scum refuse
I’ll deliver m’lord’s most awesome news.”

And before the hapless fool could unsay
Those jesting words in haste he spoke that day
He stood outside the gates, alone, and scared
Of dangers for which he was not prepared…

We’ve seen lately the movie The Court Jester with Danny Kaye and we highly recommend it to you if you haven’t had the pleasure to watch it (or rewatch it)! We loved the characters, the jokes, the wordplays… This scene always cracks me up!

See you in the virtual realms!
