🔎 Adverb Portfolio Companies Showcased at Humans in the Loop
We were delighted to have four Adverb portfolio companies present at Humans in the Loop, a one-day conference in San Francisco hosted by Forerunner highlighting consumer AI startups.
We’ve held the belief that many consumer categories are ripe for disruption since we launched Adverb in 2023. Call it a “vibe shift”, the inevitable implications of AI on every aspect of life, a post-pandemic reaction, or simply the next generation of companies, but consumers are yearning for new experiences and services and founders are rising to the challenge. Early consumer products often feel like secret clubs — and Humans in the Loop had that buzz. The next generation of breakout consumer companies are very likely already hard at work, even if you haven’t heard about them just yet.
Here is a brief rundown of the Adverb presentations:
Sara Beykpour of Particle demonstrated the platform's latest innovations, including their new focused feeds feature that helps users cut through information overload, and the recently launched daily crosswords that bring a playful element to news consumption.
Aaron Sekhri previewed Le Walk's exciting developments, treating attendees to a custom local experience designed specifically for the Presidio location. The preview highlighted how Le Walk is transforming the way people discover and engage with their surroundings through AI-powered experiences.
Mariam Naficy showcased Arcade AI, which leverages generative AI to enable anyone to dream up a product concept and see it manufactured and shipped directly to them, fundamentally changing how we think about consumer goods and creativity.
In addition to our portfolio companies, April joined the investor panel, sharing insights alongside Alfred Lin from Sequoia in a discussion moderated by Forerunner's Eurie Kim. The panel explored the evolving investment landscape for consumer AI and what it takes to build lasting companies in this rapidly changing space.
The strong Adverb presence at Humans in the Loop underscored our commitment to supporting the most forward-thinking founders in consumer AI. Each of our portfolio companies represents a different facet of how AI is enhancing human experiences—from how we consume information and explore our world to how we create and bring ideas to life.
