Perplexity’s potential 2028 IPO target, which CEO Aravind Srinivas told Reuters about on June 9, 2026, places more weight on operating milestones than on private-market enthusiasm. A public-market path would require the company to demonstrate that its answer engine can support repeat usage, predictable revenue, and defensible distribution while maintaining answer quality. The timetable is a stated ambition, not a filing or a guarantee, so it belongs in a research calendar rather than a forecast.
The company’s broader platform strategy also makes the Chrome bid relevant to the research case.
