Hello NC Team!
Elections in North Carolina are wrapped for the year — and we can exhale and even do a happy dance. Democrats won big across the state. In Wake County, 21 of 22 Republicans lost. Democrats flipped mayorships in Burlington, Graham, Warsaw, Wake Forest, and Holly Springs, and took a Charlotte city council seat long held by Republicans. We even gained ground in Holly Springs and Wilmington.
Celebrate it! Then rest if you need to. But don’t stop. MAGA won’t — and neither will we. Their focus is on 2026, with new plans to suppress the vote and overturn results. Ours must be on building power and protecting democracy.
North Carolina’s 2026 primary is March 3, with Early Voting starting February 12. That’s closer than it sounds. Step one: register more voters.
