Overview # Over the past few months, I’ve been living a security architect’s version of a horror movie. I decided to go on a quest to find a better FDIC-insured bank. I systematically opened accounts and tested online and mobile access, hoping to find a modern, robust, and secure implementation.

My son and I went through rather painful ordeal with this Event 11 that Windows quietly generates. I managed to get out to Dragon*Con this year, but it ended up short and unpleasant experience. Granted, my planning was poor (read: non-existent). After repeatedly asking my family about it in the past few weeks, I got a very clear and solid NO from all other family members. Not wanting to hang out alone, I decided to not go this year.

Looks like Polar site has a little trouble with latest and greatest Internet Explorer 9 – so here is very easy fix: Compatibility Mode. Internet Explorer 9 can “behave” like previous IE, simply by triggering compatibility soon as soon as you arrive on healthyschools.net site.

As I drove home from the office today, I was bombarded by an unusual amount of Android Billboard Advertisements. What is most interesting is that Google did Not pay for any of it, as far as I know! Majority were paid by Samsung, making sure everyone hears about their new Galaxy Tab .
Now that Apple s iPad is officially a hit, all the computer makers (and computer makers Wanna-Be s) woke up and are planning to Flood the market with Tablets. Most will try to rush something out for this holiday season, even half-baked, so around Black Friday and shortly thereafter expect to see them Everywhere!

Yesterday IE 9 Beta landed on the web. It’s a major rework of the most popular browser, with support for fancy new features (like HTML 5 and CSS 3 ) and Hardware Video acceleration. I recently signed up for Napster , and so far it’s a pleasant experience. The price proposition convinced me – unlimited music streaming to your computer AND you can purchase Un-protected (DRM Free) songs for keeps. When you buy 3 months at a time, it comes out to $5 per months which gives you 5 songs and Unlimited streaming of their huge library, whole month.
Ok, here’s the summary: Wow !! Overall I really love it so far, and although I experienced the famous disappearing bars issue first hand, I am really not concerned. One negative so far I noticed is the camera.
