Every investor has felt this. A deck lands in your inbox, the company looks great, and then you realize why it looks great… You’re not early. You’re the audience.

The uncomfortable truth about sourcing is that the channels everyone uses are efficient markets. Accelerator batches, warm intros, the usual newsletters. If a company is visible there, its price already reflects it. The deals that actually change a fund’s returns almost never come through the front door.

All of it is public. None of it is organized for you. So it may as well not exist.

Today we’re launching ADIN Scout: an agent that hunts through the public sources everyone else ignores, checks what it finds against real evidence, and emails you a ranked report every morning.

Scout doesn’t wait for deal flow. It goes and makes some, overnight, every night.

Each run it works the corners of the public record that nobody bothers with: incubator member pages, app and partner marketplaces, grant databases, procurement records, university spinouts, niche trade press, the portfolio pages of small regional funds. Places where companies leave real footprints long before they start doing marketing.

Then it filters. A typical run looks at twenty something raw candidates and ships ten. It throws out anything it’s already shown you, anything it can’t verify, and anything that would make the report ten flavors of the same category.

What’s left lands in your inbox as a ranked top ten. For each lead you get:

  • the one-liner and the thesis — what the company does and why you’d care

  • the evidence — the product page, the marketplace listing, the grant, the customer proof, the hiring pattern, each with a link

  • the risk — what could kill it, up front instead of buried

  • the source, and why it’s underexploited — not just where the lead came from, but why nobody else was looking there

  • a verified contact path — so “reach out” takes five minutes, not an afternoon

  • scores and a verdict — confidence, ADIN fit, and alpha, which is literally a score for how overlooked the company is. Then the call: Obsess, Reach out, or Watch.

The pattern Scout is built to catch looks like this: a company that’s never announced a round but shows up three times in the public record. A fresh listing on an incubator’s member page. An integration in a big ERP vendor’s partner directory. Four engineering roles posted in sixty days. No press, no launch thread. Most tools would ignore that company. Scout ranks it first, because nobody has priced it yet.

The reverse is a red flag. If the only evidence for a company is buzz — press hits, social heat, big claims with nothing under them — it never makes the report. Same for generic AI wrappers and late-stage companies dressed up as early ones.

At the bottom of every report there’s a block you can copy, edit, and send back. Ten leads, ten verdicts. Bump a Watch to an Obsess, mark something as noise, hit reply. That’s the whole interface.

And the feedback actually goes somewhere.

This is the part we care about most, and it’s why Scout is built the way it is.

Finding one great overlooked company is luck. Finding the source that produced it is an edge. If an incubator directory surfaced one exceptional team, it’ll probably surface another. If a niche marketplace was early on one breakout, it’ll be early on the next.

We call this source alpha: overlooked channels that keep producing deal flow before mainstream attention shows up. Scout keeps ledgers of every lead, every source, and every piece of feedback you’ve ever given it. It notices when a category is getting saturated and deliberately digs somewhere else. It goes back to sources that keep hitting and quietly drops the ones that don’t. Each report even tells you which sources earned their spot that day.

Most sourcing tools get worse as more people use them, because everyone is drinking from the same well. Scout gets better the longer it runs, because it keeps digging new ones.

If you’ve been following along you can see the shape of this. ADIN turns weeks of diligence into a report in thirty minutes. Re-Run keeps that report alive as the company changes. Additional Research keeps the category current. Scout now works upstream of all of it, finding the companies worth analyzing before anyone thought to analyze them.

Sourcing, diligence, and monitoring used to be three jobs, Now it’s one loop, and it runs on its own!

ADIN Scout is private for now, but if you’re interested in looking at it email hello@adin.online. If you aren’t a Scout and want to submit deals / join the network join here: adin.online/waitlist and submit a deal. ADIN
