I never had an intention of turning this newsletter into a “stream of revenue.”
There’s a need for all humans to recognize that using AI can help them manage their lives better, empowering their actions, or strengthening their executive functions.
So far I’ve tried a few things with this publication to see what’s possible.
In April, I posted every day, but all of the content was created with AI (including the art.) It was a good experiment to see how well it could be managed.
In June, I did it again, but reduced it to 3 times a week, but leaned into adding my own expertise further, while still letting AI do the heavy lifting.
In fairness, it was a fun experiment, but it had several major effects on me.
I realized how much ‘could’ be done with generative AI.
I saw that Substack (and maybe newsletters in general) weren’t being ‘consumed’ the way one would expect.
People might subscribe to newsletters, but it doesn’t mean they’re reading them.
I felt the effects of “information overload” as well as “AI slop” in my creation and consumption of content.
I learned to be skeptical of all of the ADHD advice being created and submitted.
All of this happened alongside the truth, that people are “pulling back” when it comes to their eagerness to use AI.
So, it’s a new season, and I’m wanting to play with what this newsletter might be again.
You may already be aware, I developed a community earlier this year, “Chaos Cooperative” that’s focused on being a supporting community for neurodivergent brains.
You may also be aware that I do coaching and consulting for neurodivergent people, and for teaching teams how to use AI ethically.
Whether you’re aware or not, the point with either of these efforts is about the human element.
While AI as an assistant can be invaluable, there’s even more to the nuance of using it alongside building relationships with real people.
So first, I invite you to join Chaos Cooperative if you’re needing to be supported by other humans.
Second, I invite you to submit posts for this newsletter about how you use AI, or how it’s affected you. I’m happy to trade posts, or support your neurodivergent or AI focused newsletters.
Because the focus was always about using AI for Success as an assistive tool, not as a creative tool, I’m doing a re-brand to focus less on the ADHD and more on the success. Naming and links to be adjusted soon.
Sorry, this is an overload of options, feel free to pick only one.
Subscribe and Share - If you like what’s already been created, or the idea of bring AI into our lives in an ethical manner, please consider subscribing, or sharing this newsletter.
Let’s trade posts - If you’d like to get your content in front of my readers, or want to share my posts with yours, reach out to me here on Substack directly.
Join a community - Whether it’s Chaos Cooperative, or another place with real people, don’t let yourself wallow in solitude. We’re at a time that needs connections more than ever.
Leave a comment - Just let me know why you’re reading, or where you’re connecting from. Even if it’s just here on Substack, making connections is never a bad idea.
Have a Neurodivergent Chat - I’ve mostly solicited this to my community, or to people I know on LinkedIn, but I love to chat with neurodivergent folk. This button below is to set up at 60 minute chat… no strings attached, just talking about our neurodivergent brains and how we use them.
