"We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone." ~ Marianne Williamson

I started Actualized Elders because I observed many who were not living up to their full potential. I suspected that like I once did too many were actually afraid not of their potential but of possibly trying and failing to bring it forth. And yes some actually fear discovering their potential and succeeding in actualizing it.

But standing pat is how mediocre lives endure. The feeling is that overall things are good enough. Why rock the boat when things are almost okay? But I learned the hard way that living a life that’s smaller than it could be is a recipe for disaster.

But you don’t have to hit bottom like I did in order to awaken. All you have to do is truthfully answer this deep question. Am I unnecessarily living a smaller life than I could be living? Are you? If you are do you know why?

You could ask. What about realizing my unmet potential scares me so much? Identify that truth and you’ll see through the lies you’ve been telling yourself. Once we expose the false self-judgments we’ve been accepting as truth we can never go back to putting our heads in the sand and that’s wonderful.

The truth is that God does not create slackers and timid souls. We become fearful all on our own. Is there at least a small part of you who believes that you were created for greatness? Good, I thought so. Here’s a better question. Are you willing to do something about it?

Knowing that you’ve been blessed with something spectacular and doing nothing is like receiving a great gift that you never unwrap but stash it away in a closet hoping you’ll forget it’s there.

But you can’t forget can you? Over the years I’ve failed more than I’ve succeeded but my ever-present tenacity causes me to rise and risk over and over again. Perhaps you too are spiritually tenacious.

I believe that tenacity lives in your being with the hope that some day you’ll awaken and claim your sovereignty. What if your full potential remains alive and waiting for you to step into it fearlessly?

Here’s what awakened me and still beats throughout my being. I love feeling alive! I love feeling alive and my unmet potential keeps feeding the possibility of greater aliveness no matter what I do or don’t do.

Yes I believe that my potential wants to be fully fulfilled. Yours might be hidden and buried but it’s still there awaiting your recognition of it.

Forget the past. It’s never too late for you to claim your inherent destiny. You posses the same empowered divinity as Source. Don’t worry about having your shit together. No one fully does. We’re all somewhere on the path of our unmet potential.

You can bring yours forth by telling the whole truth to yourself by answering this question. Am I in this moment living my clearest, boldest truth? Congrats if you got a no. That truth will lead you to your first realization and that realization will lead you to your next bold step. Take that step and you’ll never look back.

You must learn one thing. The world was made to be free in. Give up all the other worlds except the one to which you belong. Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet confinement of your aloneness to learn anything or anyone that does not bring you alive is too small for you. ~ David Whyte, Sweet Darkness
