Cornwall School Games 2026 at Mounts Bay Academy were a sizzling success with focus schools in and around the Penzance area all taking part.

The UK Chief Medical Officers have published refreshed Physical Activity Guidelines today finding even small amounts of physical activity benefit health.

Over 30 of us came together to understand the insight and learning from Beat the Street and consider what’s next for Penzance and St Austell.

It’s been celebrations all round as we’ve been out and about presenting Beat the Street prizes to all the winners across Penzance and St Austell!

Our partnership work with Wave Multi Academy Trust has been recognised with a national School Games Impact Award 2026 at the School Games National Summit.

Our work in partnership across Cornwall has attracted significant national interest in the last twelve months and we’ve had a few ‘firsts’ too.

In just 6 weeks, Beat The Street saw over 7,000 people walking or wheeling a collective 35,000 miles, exploring where they live.

We’re bringing together healthcare professionals for physical activity clinical champion training, supporting the NHS 10-year health plan in shifting the focus from treatment to prevention.
