The Titan Class of 2022 received their diplomas during a graduation ceremony on June 4, 2022, at George Mason University's EagleBank Arena.

As the 2021-22 academic year draws to a close, Alexandria City Public Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Gregory C. Hutchings, Jr. extends a sincere thank you in a brief end-of-year video message and hears from the 2021-22 Alexandria School Board student representatives for the June episode of his podcast.

The Alexandria Library provides a variety of in-person or online books and activities for all ages to learn from and enjoy throughout the year, including the summer months when most students are not in class.

The final Alexandria City Public Schools staff to be recognized with a Vision, Integrity and Passion Award for the 2021-22 academic year have been selected.

The school division’s website, as well as the websites of all ACPS schools, will feature a new look as of July 1, 2022. In addition, ACPS is launching a new communication platform to replace the current system and encourage a stronger school to home connection.

The Alexandria City School Board recently approved the formation of Spanish-, Amharic- and Arabic-speaking Advisory Committees for the 2022-23 academic year.

Families will receive more detailed information starting this spring regarding their student’s Standards of Learning performance along with end-of-year report cards.

Alexandria City Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided, on a first-come, first-serve basis, and must be consumed on site, from June 27 through July 21, 2022 (Monday through Thursday only), at select ACPS school sites.

Forty dedicated professionals from across Alexandria City Public Schools retired during Fiscal Year 2022 with a ceremony held June 7, 2022, at Alexandria City High School.
