Our First Island Launch
The end of our second week of summer in our favorite place and it kicked things off with a big work moment: launching our new table linens collection with Centre Pointe, my favorite shop on the island, as part of their in-house line, Cartolina. The designs are gorgeous prints and embroidery inspired by Cartolina’s summer collection. We celebrated the launch with a stunning beachside event hosted by Cartolina. Honestly, it was one of the most beautiful events and felt like I was at a friend’s rehearsal dinner for their Nantucket wedding! You can shop the collaboration here.

We hosted a two-day Trunk Show at the Centre Pointe Shop, which was such a thrill! For years I dreamed of having our Cailini Coastal products sold on Nantucket. Given the brand’s coastal esthetic, Nantucket is naturally a strong market for us, and once we become official islanders (after buying our home), I wanted a presence for my brand even more. Centre Pointe was my top choice and I am thrilled it all worked out! Centre Pointe offers such a fun mix of beautifully curated pieces from entertaining and decor to apparel and accessories.
Family Matters
Then the real fun started when family came into town. This is my husband’s side and we’ve spent the last week of June on Nantucket together now for the past six years. Between hosting and the big launch for Cailini Coastal - it was a full house and a full calendar.
Even with the busyness, I’ve been sneaking in my usual rhythms: working from home most days, early morning classes at Nantucket Fitness, and walks down to the beach that genuinely make my whole day. I posted a little reel of my daily walk — it has become one of my favorite parts of daily life here!
We did all the summer things with our family: bike rides to the beach, extended pool days, almost daily ice cream cones after dinner, and one absolutely magic sunset beach dinner with takeout from 167 Raw. Linking the picnic table that everyone asked about here and the beach bag you all loved (currently on sale!).
The biggest moment of the week, though, was that my oldest daughter turned nine on July 3rd. Nine! I truly cannot believe it. The 3rd was a crazy day on island - the traffic was wild - so we kept it simple at home with a lazy poolside day, then a birthday dinner under her beloved cherry tree in the front yard, exactly as she requested..
Navigating One of the Busiest Weeks on Island
Once our guests headed out Saturday morning, we settled into a low-key final stretch just our family of four (excuse me, six with the pups!). Pro tip we’ve learned: hide at home on July 3rd — the streets (and the grocery stores) are chaos. But July 4th? Everyone’s at the beach, which means it’s our time to run errands and wander around town. It was shockingly quiet and honestly awesome.
The weather this week was some of the best we’ve ever had in a week stretch. A little Americana flair, a lot of gratitude. 🎇
