New Research on Platypuses
This research shows why what we do with the Wendon Way Bushcare Group, and what we do as residents in the surrounding area is so important.
"To mitigate freshwater degradation and localised extinction risk of platypus, policy recommendations include riparian buffer protection (> 30 m) and water-sensitive urban design."
The paper is free to access: The impact of a decade of urbanisation on a semi-aquatic mammal in a subtropical freshwater ecosystem
Doing the right thing by the platypuses, has so many other environmental benefits. It’s all connected.
