This week note covers the week of 1st–7th June.
Life#
Last week was a week of rest and recovery. I felt better with each passing day. I wonder if what happened to me in the last month was some sort of echo of my burnout and spell of illness of the last year. But this time I didn’t wait six months, I immediately started focusing on resting and nutrition. I hope this cuts down my recovery period substantially. Although I can walk ten thousand steps a day, I’m not forcing myself too, at least for next few weeks.
The weather has been fine. I’m sad to miss exercising outside, but resting is a priority for now. I’ll try going to the gym this week. Let’s see.
Personal Projects#
I stayed indoors, and spent all my free time working on feed-repeat, my recently open-sourced niche Haskell project. One of the things I did was to create a website for it, so now you can read about the work I did right there. I’m very close to a second release.
I also upgraded NixOS to version 26.05 on my VPS. I ran into a snag, that I ranted about on internet.
IndieWebClub#
There was no IWC meetup last week, but a few folks wrote about the Special Edition meetup in their blogs, which was really nice to read about. I also wrote about it, specifically about the behind-the-scenes work we did to make it happen.
Watching#
Wife and I started watching Spider Noir on Prime Video. It’s a great show but I’m a little disappointed that it’s mostly Noir and very less Spider.
I finished watching Bocchi the Rock!. What a great show! It made me start going to music classes again.
Interesting Internet Links#
