I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “wear the damn shorts” - women throw this around when they’re fed up with worrying about how their legs look in shorts - dimpled and maybe with some accompanying knee sag (you can read about my personal love/hate relationship with my legs here).
I’ve been thinking about this as summer approaches and my clients are packing for vacation. Here’s my take: please actually don’t wear the damn shorts if they don’t look good on you. I’m retiring that phrase and replacing it with “wear the right shorts” or if the GLP-1’s kicked in, maybe the more apropos statement of the moment is, “try shorts, you might like them!”
It’s not you, it’s them.
