My sister is visiting for a night; we went out to a late lunch yesterday and caught up over fries and a glass of white wine in an empty dining room that felt like it was just for us. We don’t get a lot of 1:1 time together anymore, and I had the sensation of time folding on itself, as if the 10-year-old, 20-year-old, 30-year-old versions of our catch-up were all taking place in the same space. A sort of timelessness to the feeling of intimacy of being with my sister; really focusing on her and feeling her really focusing back. ✨
