Aaron Salvato · GoodLion Theology - Aaron Salvato

There is a whole species of Christian wandering around America who grew up in youth group, private school, camp, Bible College, and probably once got prayed over in an afterglow service where everybody cried.

These humans are now adults who cannot feel God to save their lives.

More often than not, they’re not rebellious.

They’re jet-lagged.

They spent their younger years living in a nonstop spiritual neon carnival… then stepped into adulthood where the lights went out and the bills and deadlines came in.

Nobody tells you that faith built on camp highs cannot survive layoffs, heartbreak, and fluorescent-lit workplaces without a major spiritual remodel.

All this to say, my friends… If you feel numb, you’re not broken.

You’re adjusting to a world where it feels like Jesus is no longer shouting through the subwoofers of constant religious activity… but whispering through the mundane.

Keep your ears open.

He’s never stopped speaking.

We just have to learn how to listen again.
