How is it July already???

Just...yikes! But at least its been an entertaining July. Down here in Argentina its been full on World Cup season. I’m not sure what its like in every country, but the Argentine’s take things to a next level. I’ve been watching the matches on Paramount+ and there’s about a 30 second delay - which I know because the ENTIRE CITY erupts every time Argentina scores a goal. And now the elimination rounds are here, boy do they celebrate the wins. The last game against Switzerland ended at 1am, in the midde of winter, and the streets STILL filled up with people to celebrate.

Next up they face England, and let’s just say I’ll be making sure to spend all of tomorrow speaking in spanish - if I leave the apartment at all!

Anyway, enough about life in Argentina. Writing wise, I’ve been working hard on my next book, Slayer, and after some feedback from beta writers I’m hoping to get started on its final draft this week. I’ve also been working on a few D&D one shot campaigns for a friends platform, which I’ve finished my part on but haven’t yet got the link to share with those who might be interested.

And last but not least, I’m happy to say my YouTube channel is still functioning, which hopefully means YouTube has fixed its demonetization policies. I’ve been waiting to see what happens before putting in any effort into converting the audiobooks into videos, but now that it seems I have the okay, I’ll be getting onto that this month at all.

Oh, and the formatting for the kickstarter copies of King’s Reckoning has finally been approved by Ingramspark, so all books will be ordered this week to be printed and sent directly to backers!

All steam ahead, in other words!

How about all of you? What kind of fantasy books are you reading these days, and what would you like to see more of from me?

Write on!

“The powerful will not go quietly. So long as they rule there can be no hope. To save this world, first it must fall…”

The Magisterium branded Kaila Dwyn a monster. She’s stopped trying to prove them wrong. Broken by loss, she no longer cares about rebellions or a better future. She carves a bloody path through the countryside, slaughtering any Warden who dares hunt the Gifted. Some call her a hero. Others a heretic. Kaila alone knows the truth—she’s a coward, fleeing from the wreckage of everything she failed to save.

While Kaila drowns in violence, Theron wages a different battle. The Elysian rebellion is haemorrhaging. Someone is feeding their secrets to the Magisterium, and the noose tightens with each passing day. Desperate, he turns to the last people who should be trusted: the noble houses, now outcasts like the Elysian, have their own score to settle with the crown.

But neither see the greater game being played. Ancient powers have waited centuries for this moment, and they’re not about to let a miner’s daughter or a band of thieves thwart their plans. War is coming—not the one they’ve been fighting, but something far older and more terrible.

The girl who once dreamed of protecting her people now holds their future in her hands.

The reckoning has begun.

“The facts of the Magisterium cannot be challenged. They do not want you thinking for yourselves. Otherwise, someone might realise there are questions they cannot answer.”

Her entire life, Kaila Dwyn has dreamed of joining the Wardens—a noble order of warriors tasked with shielding humanity from evil. By day, she studies under the watchful gaze of the Sisters; by night she trains with her father, preparing for the trials that will decide her fate. She is ready to prove her devotion to the Magisterium and the kingdom of Fresia.

But nothing could prepare Kaila for a thief by the name of Theron.

When he steals forbidden agimet crystals from Kaila’s village, she is framed for the crime. With the entire world turned against her, Kaila must make a choice: surrender herself to the mercy of the Wardens, or flee with Theron, and be forever branded as a traitor to her people.
