Interested in applying for an AA2A artist residency? Want to find out more about how the programme works and what the experience is really like?
AA2A connects professional artists with universities and colleges to facilitate experiential learning, enriching students’ creative practice and academic discourse through direct engagement. Artists spend one year on campus accessing equipment/facilities in return for informal engagement with students.
Join us for a free online Q&A session where we’ll introduce the AA2A artist residency programme, explain the application process and answer your questions about eligibility, opportunities and what to expect as a resident artist.
We’ll be joined by current AA2A Artist in Residence Helen Thomas, based at Leeds Beckett University, who will share insights into her residency experience, how access to university facilities and resources has supported her practice and the ways the residency has contributed to the development of her work.
This informal session is open to artists interested in learning more about AA2A residencies, whether you’re considering applying this year or simply want to explore future opportunities.
There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
