it’s 6:59am.

a snus burning in my gums. a white monster standing by my side.

my eyes are slowly closing.

i’m surrounded by this tiredness.

but for now… let’s talk about the part you buried that is ruining your life.

the shadow is the unconscious repository of repressed or disowned aspects of the psyche.

instincts, desires, weaknesses, traits deemed socially or morally unacceptable.

the shadow contains our dark impulses and our buried nobility.

what gets cast into shadow is whatever the ego rejects to meet familial or cultural ideals, regardless of whether that content is actually negative.

the ego and shadow come from the same source and exactly balance each other… to make light is to make shadow.

if unacknowledged, the shadow is projected outward.

we start to perceive in others what actually belongs to us, fuelling conflict.

refusing it accumulates darkness, later expressed as black moods, psychosomatic illness, or unconscious self sabotage.

symbolic acts can discharge shadow energy because the unconscious doesn't distinguish real from symbolic.

and it’s actually funny.

if i take myself as an example…

i really hate fat people. they’re just undisciplined people failing to put in the work.

but if i reflect even harder…

i’ve been fat myself. it’s still buried in my subconscious.

which makes sense why i feel this specific way.

or another example….

i hate the idea of working 9-5.

i just want infinite freedom doing what i love.

but because a 9-5 is such a big fear…

i’m still trapped in one.

it’s funny how reality will always link back to your mind.

it seems so fucking easy. yet so hard to execute.

your shadow is simply an unconscious repository of repressed or disowned aspects of the psyche.

it embodies the “dark side” of the personality, encompassing both personal failings and archetypal energies inherited from the collective unconscious.

the shadow forms early in life as the ego differentiates from the undifferentiated psyche, rejecting elements incompatible with familial, cultural, or societal ideals.

these rejected traits coalesce into a sub-personality.

they operate autonomously, often surfacing through projections, slips of the tongue, or irrational emotional reactions.

the shadow is not inherently evil but morally neutral.

its integration is vital for psychological wholeness.

a key mechanism of the shadow is projection, where unconscious material is attributed to others.

an unacknowledged shadow can sabotage relationships, fuel self sabotage, or manifest as a “possession” by its contents.

conversely, excessive identification with the shadow risks inflation or moral collapse.

carl jung emphasized that confronting the shadow is a necessary, and often painful, step in individuation.

this involves acknowledging repressed material through dream analysis and active imagination.

or therapeutic dialogue, fostering a balanced relationship between light and dark aspects of the psyche.

so how do you integrate your shadow?

your shadow self is the self that is negative. it tells you “you’re weak” “you’re lonely” “you’re insecure” “you’re broke”

and you wear the persona to MASK these thoughts. because you’re biologically wired as a man to not seem weak because that may get you killed.

but as a result of this. people can still hit your ego because you still put on a persona.

so you know what you need to do?

you identify your shadow traits.

what are your insecurities? what is wrong with your life?

those are the things we need to reverse.

then here’s where the magic happens.

you use your EGO (the desire to be perfect) to take these shadow trait and make them disappear through proving your shadow self WRONG

now, let’s say you’ve got a insecurity of you being broke…

your shadow self says, “you’re broke, useless, and can’t even take care of future kids.”

then you use EGO to learn marketing, learn psychology, and learn everything to do with it.

then you progress, and progress, and you are finally i guess “rich”

you get impostor syndrome for a bit.

then you get a huge payout without blinking.

you’re sitting there. and you realise this is the guy you dreamed of being.

stay schemin.

escape, a85.

and by the way…

you’re probably already a hard-working and ambitious person.

otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this.
