The description of Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) evoked resemblance to the concept of “clock-gating” — a digital design technique used to reduce dynamic power consumption by disabling clock signals to idle circuit blocks. By stopping unused clock cycles, it minimizes unnecessary transistor switching in sequential logic elements like flip-flops.
