If you’re currently staying late to “grind out” more drafts, more reports, or more emails, you’re not building job security - you’re putting a target on your back.
For 15 years, I’ve made my living by the sweat of my brow and the ink in my pen.
Like you probably do, I believed that manual execution, the physical act of producing output, was the ultimate proof of value.
But in 2026, that deal is dead.
If your value is tied to the volume of “commodities” you produce, an AI agent can now do your week’s work instantly, for free, and without a lunch break.
“Working hard,” doing manual tasks, is no longer a virtue; it‘s a liability.
To survive this not-so-subtle shift, you have to stop being a “doer” and become the architect - not the bricklayer! (Nothing against bricklayers!).
Help yourself to a FREE copy of my “How To Unslop Generic AI Writing” Cheatsheet. It’s the exact system I use to take that 15-minute AI draft and turn it into something that sounds like a living, breathing human wrote it. No more “beige” writing. No more robot-speak.

Let’s Talk Strategy
The Corporate Ladder has been kicked away
The “ladder” you’ve been climbing has been kicked away.
Companies no longer want to pay for the “hard work” of writing, like summarizing meetings or drafting routine memos, when AI can instantly handle these tasks once reserved for humans.
If you’re still priding yourself on being the fastest “word-processor” in the room, you’re competing with a machine that has read every book in the world and never sleeps.
You’ll lose THAT race every time.
Research shows that organizations are already realizing 30% to 50% cost savings by automating the very tasks that used to define a “hard day’s work”.
Let that sink in for a bit!
The Rise of “Sifting AI Slop”
The biggest danger of the old “work hard” mindset is that it ignores the shift AI brings to the workplace.
Generating content is now cheap, but verifying it is expensive and mentally exhausting.
If you spend your day generating more “AI slop,” you’re simply creating more work for your bosses.
They now have to act as high-speed compliance officers to audit your output for hallucinations and bias.
The employee who gets fired in 2026 is the one who sends a raw AI draft without human intervention, aka editing the hell out of it!
The staff member who’s AI-savvy and becomes indispensable as the “Guardian of Quality” has the best chance of survival.
Take note.
It requires effort; you decide if your job is worth saving.
The 5-Minute Professional Audit
Your job security in 2026 depends on you being the primary line of defense against AI slop.
Before you finalize any AI-augmented work, apply this audit:
• Accuracy Sweep: Manually verify every date, name, and statistic. Never be lazy by developing a “trust-at-first-sight” mentality.
• Bias Scan: Look for loaded adjectives or one-sided framing. Ask, “Who or what is missing from this story?”
• Faithfulness Check: Ensure every statement in the output is directly supported by your source document or evidenced in some way.
Stop trying to outwork the algorithm.
Start exploiting it.
The most secure employee in 2026 isn’t the one who works the hardest.
It’s the one who uses AI to automate routine tasks and reinvests the time saved into humanizing AI-augmented output.
It’s the thinker who proactively un-slops the future of work.
