Success Is Believing in What You Cannot Yet See

‘I believe in God in the same way a blind man believes in the sun, not because he can see it but because he can feel it.’ The first time I read that quote I felt my third eye open, like someone had told me the cheat code to life. This is not a post about God. It is divine, and Godly but those are adjectives inseparable from the universe we live in.

To be able to believe in something you cannot see is the ultimate measure of success - you allow yourself to access more out of the universe. On the other hand, only being able to believe in what is right in front of you is naivete. You may not see your friend everyday, however that friend does not cease to exist once they are out of your eye-line. This is a simple example that seems so obvious - why? Because every time that friend leaves, inevitably, you see them again. That has built trust in you subconsciously, that has strengthened your belief in what you cannot see. In this instance - that your friend exists.

What if we did not have that trust? We wouldn’t reach out to our friend, we would tell ourselves that it would be crazy we’d ever see them again. We might question our experiences: did we even see them the first time? Maybe we weren’t friends and I misjudged. All of these questions sound preposterous to us now because we have enough experience to know that we have friends and that there are gaps of time between our meetings. But what if we replaced this with something we don’t have a history of proof or experience with? Like a wire transfer of $100M landing in your account next week.

When we cannot believe in what we cannot see we close the doors ourselves and throw away the key. We don’t reach out for that $100M, we tell ourselves that its crazy that would ever happen. It is preposterous to us. However that money does not cease to exist because you don’t believe in it - it just floats around waiting. Just like your friend would, if you never reached out again. Your friend may go and find another friend who has more faith in them. Your $100M might do the same.

If you can only believe in things you can see, you live a limited life because your ‘proof’ is limited. You only had the gall to go university because you have seen over and over again people around you go to university - Gen-Z is the most university educated generation. You saw the proof around you that they survived, that were employed afterwards. One wonders that if we were in 1950 would you have told yourself it was too risky or a waste of money because you didn’t have much of that visual proof?

The point is that visual proof is inutile - a blind man believes in the sun because he feels it. You must believe in your treasure and your path because you feel it. Take it from me that you will not see it, until it is done and in hindsight. It is that feeling that allows you to go forth on that path, and strengthens your discernment and allows you to understand your omens or the signs that will help you along your way. The only proof is the feeling, it is believing in the whole and complete existence of what you cannot see. Until you are able to do that you will be limited to your visual experience. Use your eyes now and look around - those are your limits. Close your eyes and feel your treasure - in that lies your success.
