Thankfully, during this month’s Creative and Nighttime Economy tech & innovation panel, Calan shared, listened and received a lot of insight from the events she attended. From podcasting Hackathons (coming soon Rising Wing ) to speaking on panels, she came back and asked, is StarCity the right name for this newsletter?
This spring requires new energy for our entrepreneurial, money-making leaders in our ecosystem (there’s over 50 of us now), and this name alignment is right on time.
A few months ago, we launched this newsletter as StarCity News to migrate our leader Calan’s brain/connections/resources and make them public for everyone. The idea for StarCity: there are plenty of stars in Philadelphia, it’s our job to connect them.
We kept writing, kept thinking, kept questioning is this the name that clearly tells the world what we’re here to do? What is this really about?
Calan personally sat down with a few people face to face, showed them the names, shared our commitment: we’re creating 69 artist millionaires by 2030. We landed on something much more sharper and we asked the artists, “which name do you like?”
The Artists chose:
They said it felt bigger than the mission, something they could get behind, a commitment, and also more acknowledging of what we’re doing.
The newsletter formerly known as StarCity News, is now transitioning officially to 69x2030 and the first issue will be out soon designed to create millionaires through business, systems, and fun.
Who’s ready to get hood rich or at least live trying?
If you’ve been here through the seasons, thank you. You weren’t just watching us figure it out, you’ve been a part of it. If you’re new, welcome. You found us at exactly the right moment.
Our aim has always been to better Philly, so we’ll keep doing that. Our social good company, 69&Sunny is based in Philadelphia and focused on supporting local talent.
However why just stop there? We want artists around the world to benefit from our information, we want to see our dreams come alive.
Philly is our proof. What happens when the creators in our city are invested in and cared for...let’s see the investors we become.
Please share this with one artist who needs to hear that their pockets are being considered.
Much Love,
StarCity 69x2030
