Celebrating 5 Years of 3W/3M

Five years ago this week, we pressed send on this post and everything changed.

At the time, we had no idea what to expect, and no time to reflect on any of it. Those early days were absolutely dizzying as we set it to try something that had really never been tried before, to our knowledge: create a brand new universe of stories, in real time, in public view.

Since then, we’ve produced thousands of pages of comics and world building material, shipped four beautiful deluxe hardcovers and a slew of other physical rewards (with more on the way soon!), launched our own platform and mobile app, and announced a long-term publishing partnership with Dark Horse Entertainment, with the first book debuting in comic shops just last month.

But that’s really just scratching the surface. From the in person meetups to the livestreams, all the way to The Competition, far and away the best part of this entire experience has been the community that was formed. That’s what made all of this possible, and worth doing in the first place.

In the coming weeks, to celebrate together, we’ll be publishing a series of commemorative ‘best of’ posts. We’ve had hundreds of new signups as a result of FOUNDATIONS arriving in shops, and this feels like the perfect opportunity to catch them up on what they missed, as well. Along the way we’ll add some new commentary and reflections in the mix.

Should be a lot of fun. And once again, thank you all for your continued support. We’ve taken so many steps in the past year to realize the full vision of what this can be, because of you and your belief in this. We’re so grateful you came along on this journey with us, and excited for what’s ahead.
